Three practices on both sides of the border — in Moselle and in Luxembourg, with the same osteopath and the same follow-up.
Living in Moselle and working in Luxembourg is a daily balancing act — and finding an appointment that fits between two commutes is not the easiest part of it.
I practise in three locations: Hettange-Grande and Breistroff-la-Grande in Moselle, and Mondorf-les-Bains in Luxembourg. You pick the one that fits your commute, without changing osteopath or starting your follow-up from scratch.
The care is the same everywhere; only the location and the booking platform change — Doctolib on the French side, Doctena on the Luxembourg side. The applicable fee is shown when you book.
An hour on the road morning and evening is two hours a day sitting still, pelvis fixed, shoulders forward, eyes concentrating. Add a day at a desk and the tension of slow traffic.
The complaints I see most often among cross-border patients:
The most frequent question, and the answer depends on you: which country you are affiliated to, which health fund, and which complementary insurance.
Two things hold in every case: the French state health system does not reimburse osteopathy, but most French complementary policies include an annual complementary-medicine allowance, usually €100 to €300 a year. Osteopathy is not covered in Luxembourg either.
Either way, you receive an invoice at every session — that is the document to send to your insurer. The safest move is to check with them before your appointment, looking for the “ostéopathie” or complementary-medicine line in your policy.
